She has been amazing at helping me through all the stages from teaching me how to burp her and bathe her on the early days to helping me navigate nutrition with allergies. With no family living in the UK, we are so grateful that Ella was there in days after our baby's birth to show us the first bath, guide with nursing / pumping, and answer all of our questions (no matter how big or small). Asking Ella to be my doula is one of the best decisions that I've made. She has been so incredibly supportive during the prenatal and postnatal period with my second child. Prenatally, she listened to my desires and needs for my birth and was truly interested in what I wanted.
During birth, she was an amazingly calm presence and she ensured my needs were met. She supported me to make informed decisions during labour. She helped my daughter to feed right after birth, which meant my breastfeeding journey went much more smoothly than it had with my eldest child.
I used Ella Horsley who helped me through my birth with my second child who’s now 17 months! She was simply amazing and I couldn’t have managed without her.

Labour and birth was always the biggest fear I had. Because if it, I wanted to get a Doula. I met with Ella once over coffee and instantly knew she was the right fit. Ella was very attentive, she listened to everything I feared, needed and wanted. And she asked great questions to help me think through things I hadn’t considered.
I can't say enough about how lucky my wife and I were to meet Ella. We had met a few midwives before and never felt a connection with them, but when we met Ella we felt that connection immediately. We had an amazing experience with her, even as second time parents. She was very supportive and caring throughout our journey.

Right from the beginning when we made contact, Ella was responsive and approachable. She really put us at ease as soon as we met and was very knowledgable about local hospitals and birth options. We knew straight away that Ella’s calm but confident approach meant we wanted her at our birth.
Ella has been an incredible support system to us after having our first baby. As well as providing much needed emotional support in the early days, she is also full of practical advice and has helped us establish a routine making our lives so much easier. Ella also helped us identify some minor medical issues our baby had which we probably would have missed otherwise.
